Seven slices hold the seven days, Monday through Sunday. When a household, a team or a class cannot agree on which day to do something, a single spin gives an answer nobody chose on purpose.
When to use it
Housemates and families use it to share out recurring jobs. Spin for laundry, trash, grocery shopping and dinner duty, and each task gets its own day without a long debate.
Couples and friend groups pick a day for a standing plan, like a weekly game night, a phone call with grandparents or a movie evening.
Kindergarten and ESL classes use it to practice the names of the weekdays, what comes after Tuesday and which days are school days.
Ideas
- Weekly treat day: spin on Sunday to choose which day next week has pancakes for breakfast or dessert after dinner.
- Workout planner: spin three times in remove the winner mode to choose three different exercise days.
- Yesterday and tomorrow: young learners name the day before and the day after the one on the wheel.
- Random acts of kindness: whatever day lands is the day you do something nice for a neighbor.
Variations
- Delete Saturday and Sunday to choose only between workdays, or keep just the weekend for leisure plans.
- Add a weight to the days that suit you best, such as Friday*3, so the result leans your way while still leaving room for surprises.
- Replace day names with time slots like Morning, Afternoon and Evening and spin twice to schedule both day and time.
Tips
- The coin flip is a good partner when only two days remain and you want a faster tiebreak.
- Press Start over at the beginning of each week to bring every day back if you used remove the winner mode.
- Decide in advance what happens if the wheel lands on a day someone is busy, such as one free re-spin.
